Customers Needing Social Media Websites Benefit
From Rapid Development, Cross Network Application Sharing
(April 8, 2008, Washington, D.C.) ? Wyndstorm Corporation (OCTBB:PKCM), the ideas to revenue social media company, announced that it plans to join MySpace, Google, and Yahoo in endorsing and adopting the OpenSocial initiative, a set of technical specification for social applications that enable end users to share photos, music, and other content and applications across different social networking sites.
"Wyndstorm will make a notable addition to the OpenSocial initiative, as our marketing and strategic business expertise coupled with our cutting edge technology for social networks, virtual worlds, and interactive games will help provide the members of the OpenSocial Foundation a valuable perspective on the common API for social networks," said Marian Sabety, Wyndstorm president and CEO. "Wyndstorm will also clearly benefit from the OpenSocial initiative, as we are both a developer of social media applications and a host of the applications we build. Our commitment to use the approved APIs in our development work ensures that our corporate customers will have access to distribute and use the largest available number of API-compliant social applications."
In November 2007, Google announced a set of common APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that will enable compliant social applications to work nearly anywhere on the web. The widely praised initiative enables developers to focus on making their Web applications better, rather than having to adapt their applications for a variety of social media applications.
"We're excited to tap into the creativity of the various development and hosting partners," said Sabety. "This initiative will help us more than ever in speeding to market our customer's social media web sites to help them achieve bottom-line business results."
